Rep Power: 23 | Re: Bad cleaners You only want to use something for a tanning bed--the hospital disinfectants will cloud the acrylic and cut the UV dramatically. Do not use anything with alcohol in it---it will ruin the acrylic also--most disinfectants have alcohol and only a few are approved for tanning beds without alcohol. Don't use any beauty/barber cleaning products, same problem. Be super careful how product is mixed--under mixed and nothing killed, over-mixed and tanner gets rash and acrylic damaged. Must mix daily and test DAILY with quat strip (litmus paper made for tanning bed tests) to ensure you are at the right PH level for effective kill levels. All of this also applies to cleaning goggles. Towel-wise, don't ever use the towel the tanner used--you don't want to smear around sweat, tingle and butt Xxxx onto the bed. You must use a clean towel to clean each bed, or else you are contaminating one bed with another's infections. Brenda |
