we have helios , and can only find chase manhattan to work with us
we want to find cheaper .

no, we opted to use costco executive member plan outside of helios for much better rates

Helios only works with Chase. But don't do it, they will lock you into a 3 year contract.

It was worth it for us to purchase Sun Touch for $795. I know that you will have to manually change all customer names and packages but we have our credit card machine with our local bank. Helios monthly fees add up very quickly, PatParadise

Dear Valued Partner,
Recently Chase Paymentech Solutions has begun notifying our customers who use our credit card module of their new platform upgrade. The new platform provides significant improvements fromthe old Chase platform by automatically determining the transaction type as far as Retail or MOTTO (card not present) and whether the card is debit or credit. We are also working with them on an integrated gift card program which is currently available in Centrix and should be ready for Helios Version 11 shortly
Chase Paymentech Solutions’ new pricing is:

Discount Rate Transaction Fee
Swiped Non-Pin Debit Card 1.58% .15 cents
Swiped Credit Card1.84% .15 cents
MOTTO Recurring 2.14% .15 cents
Gift Cards 0.00% .15 cents
This new pricing structure represents a substantial discount from the previous rates offered by Chase Merchant Services. Chase Paymentech Solutions has contractually agreed to stop charging the downgrade fees that were being passed on to Helios customers because of the limitations of their old platform. Also, Helios customers will no longer be charged a transaction fee for declined transactions.
Beginning in February 2007, Helios will be implementing a $.05 per transaction fee that will be automatically debited from the same account that is being debited for the monthly/yearly software maintenance fees. Continued use of Helios’ integrated credit card module will require an active status on the Software Maintenance Agreement so please contact our Sales department if you are currently using our credit card module but not on an active Maintenance Agreement.
The first debit will occur on March 15, 2007 for all transactions that have been processed the previous month. All future drafts will occur on the 15th of each month (or the next business day if the 15th falls on a weekend or Holiday) for the previous month’s transactions.
This fee is to offset the costs we have incurred in adding additional servers, failover redundancy, load balancing and system administration specifically for credit card processing. The additional hardware and software that has been added will ensure efficient credit card and EFT processing during the busiest times of the day/year.
Chase Paymentech Solutions will be contacting you shortly, if they have not already, in order to begin the process of migrating you to the new platform. You will not have to pay any fees to switch and you will be moved on a first come first served basis.
