Rep Power: 0 ![]() | tanning and waxing the same day? we are just starting to have waxing at our salon ; totally new to this we have acertified waxer , but still we don`t want to just go by what she says . can a person be waxed , and tan the same day ? if so , do they wax first , or tan first ? should tingle be a no , no ? do you charge for the waxing first , or wait till after . our girl said alot of time while in the room , the person will most of the time ask to "wax this while i`m here" then we`d have to make them break out the charge card again . or they just try to get the girl to do it for free , or for a bigger tip we don`t want our waxer to have to squabble with a customer over money how do you pay your waxer , we want to pay by the waxing , but don`t know what percentage ( she says the norm is 50%) any info anyone can give us would be helpful |

Usually recommend 24-48 hrs then they can tan, but depending on the type of waxing could be longer...I personally have seen a client come in the salon after a wax/peel. She was already irritated from the procedure and had some skin that looked like light sunburn. So... with this said.. I so check with manufacture/educator of product. This should solve your $$ issue. |

If you tan less than a day before a waxing, it may take the skin off leaving raw skin exposed. If you tan less than a day after waxing, you may burn exposed skin. A qualified Esthetician will now allow tanning the same day. You clients will understand that you have their best interests at heart!
