When that skin exfoliates, your color leaves with it. Exfoliate prior to spray so you are coloring as new skin as possible. Then, don't scrub, rub exfoliate, etc. after your spray. Shower, not long baths, wash lightly and moisturize often.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Advice for a new Sunless tanning owner i always tell them not to do anything that will make their skin wet for the next 6 hours (sweating, crying, condensation from a cold beverage, etc.) and to basically relax for the next 6 hours. If they must shower, to only rinse off and not lather up and pat themselves dry. Moisturize a minimum twice daily, preferably with a tan extending lotion, but definately not with a lotion with any mineral oil/petroleum in it as it will ruin their tan. I also tell them that strong astringents on the face can speed up the exfoliation process and fade their tan quicker than normal. Shaving also speeds up the exfoliation process. Facial/leg waxing should be avoided for a week surrounding their airbrush session. Manicures and pedicures should be done before the session... I have lot of rules, but I do it so they don't 'f-up' my work.... |
