Parents/Kids and Tanning - tanTALK

I have heard this a few times from some of my customers that parents are telling their kids not to tan because of all the bad press tanning is receiving. Not just young kids but college kids as well. Some of the kids get the $$$ from their parents to tan. Has anyone else had this issue with your customers??? This negative press is really beginning to be a big mess and they don't seem to be letting up.

try to educate yourself then you can pass on this information to your clients by (freedom of speech) you can print if for yourself and have it laying around the salon. here are two very good articles about teens and Vitamin D

This happens sometimes here. Most of the younger kids do not listen to it though. The smart tan brochures are GREAT hand them out to all the younger kids and stress to them to take them home. Of course I have some kids who abuse tanning, i try to talk to them about it but they, just like the adults, feel they arent dark enough!
