Is it just me...or is this disrespectful? - tanTALK

Employee leaves me a note as follows:
"Customer exchanges Hysteria for Kiwi Bronze . Add Hysteria back in inventory"

First of all.....they all know they can't do exchanges/refunds without talking to me & I couldn't understand why she didn't even leave the cusotmers name. I cant find the exchanged bottle of Hysteria anywhere so I leave her a note that says:

"I can't find the exchanged bottle of Hysteria. Please find it so it doesn't have to come out of the commission pool. Make sure you guys double check with me in the future before you do exchanges/refunds.".

She responds to my note with another:
"You goof. You totally misunderstood. It was a sample of hysteria...not a bottle. She changed her mind when I was ringing her up".....then she adds a smiley face.

This employee is great but I can tell she has an issue with me being younger than her. ****** ME OFF.

I also left her a chore list to do & one of the chores was wash dishes in the sink. She did it but she had to comment "NONE of those dishes are mine."
That's total BS cuz she's the only one that uses the **** dishes.

Usually I let that crap fly but I text messaged her "I just read your notes at the salon. You need to know that I didn't "totally misunderstand". You just "totally didn't claify" in your original note. Of course I added the sarcastic smiley face.

SORRY!! HAD TO VENT!

Err.. I left my employee ashley alone for 10 min. and asked her to sweep the floor while I talked to someone next door.. I came back and shes sprawled out on the couch reading a magazine.. I was like umm the floors??? and she like oops I forgot just let me finish this article i'm reading.. Grrrr..

UGH. seems like she thinks she is your equal not your employee. You must be one of those " cool bosses" they ten to forget the boss part alot.

I guess I need to hire younger employees.. err.. then theres my 16 year old sister who works for me too.. shes the worst.. that girl scares the **** out of me some days.. PMS x a billion

This topic is my biggest problem....my husband thinks im a push over. The girls at our salon are all great, and young. They call me all the time "just to chat" - now that drives me crazy!!!!
