Rep Power: 107 | Re: Electricity Price Protection Plan? These companies buy utilities in bulk and sell it to you at a fixed rate. Prices go up and you don't oay that higher rate, but, oddly enough prices can go down and you are not locked in at their higher rate. I'll take my chances and pay as I go. |

Rep Power: 30 | Re: Electricity Price Protection Plan? OK Update.. they have been calling for the last couple of week asking if I have decided to switch and I told them last time that the ONLY way I'll switch to them is if they FIRE the sales guy!!! and I have to be present lol.. anyways they just called me and appologized for the rude sales person.. and they asked if there was anything they could do that would make me change my mind? I said " give me a lower rate!!!" so anyways I got them down.. so instead paying a fixed rate of 9.29 cents/kWh I'm paying 8.00 cents even!! + plus a 5% discount the first year. WOOT |

Rep Power: 27 | Re: Electricity Price Protection Plan? did u check your last hydro bill? you should only be paying .58 and .67 after the first 750. If you locked in at .8 you have been took. And hydro rates are set to decrease after nov 1st. They wont decrease you to the lower rate. Been there done that. |

Rep Power: 107 | Re: Electricity Price Protection Plan? Prices are coming down according to the news, so what price were you "protected" at again? Right now I'm only paying 5.8 cents for the first 750 kWh and then 6.7 after that. |
