... because there was a fire in my neighborhood today! I was walking to the salon this morning with my little doggie and saw smoke pouring out of the roof of one of the hip restaurants on Market St.... The fire trucks weren't even there yet! So we stood with the other "rubber-necks" and watched. We got to see the big ladders go up and all the firemen hustle and all. It was cool.

It was extra exciting as yesterday there was an underground explosion in Center City!! Whoot! The manhole covers blew up in the air and a 36 block radius was evacuated! My assistant lives in that area and was working at the time. I'll get the scoop from her later today as to what her 'hood looked like & when she was finally able to go home, and how long it took to get her power back.
