I am opening my first tanning salon soon. Town size is 9,000 and only one other tanning salon, not counting hair salons with an older bed or two. I am going computerized and is tantrac my best software option. I have done many hours of reseach and looks to be my best so far?? Next, when it comes to training my employees, is there a good teaching site? I was hoping to buy educational videos for myself as the owner and my employees but have only found ones costing $400 or more for 1 DVD?? Even a good training manual would be wonderful. Thanks :O

Hi nurse Jules. I think you will get lots of advice, but most of us only know what we use. I use suntouch, but Helios is really popular. Do a search on software and you will find lots of info on various programs. There is even a poll about which software people use.

Check out the search function and then post any questions you still have.

We use Nichesoft Tan Track, if you call them they will send you a free cd showing you the program, I believe they have a banner on this site. We find it very easy to use. As far as training employees, first you need to get yourself trained, read as much as you can read. Attend seminars/discussions as much as possible. There will be some coming up in the fall probably. It takes awhile to get them all trained,lots of time has to go into it. Try NTTI or Smart Tan, I knwo it can be expensive but its worth it in the long run. Hope this helps.

we use Tan Track also, mainly because it was the easiest to teach employees how to use, very straight forward. And also do everything they said

it all depends to if you want a finger prints scanner or not.
