Rep Power: 18 | 2 questions about airbrush tanning Question #1...........Can everyone give me an idea of what they charge for airbrush tanning. Single spray $, full body $, face only $ etc... And do you usually charge the same if you use a sunless booth vs. airbrush ? Question #2...........I have a customer that said he was told by two different people that if you tan in a bed and then get airbrushed, the airbrush soaks in better and last longer because it opens up your pores and the other person told him to get airbrushed first and then use a standup bed to bake it onto the skin. Are any of these statements true? |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: 2 questions about airbrush tanning I would worry about the tanning after spraying, if they start to sweat it will streak. Tanning before a spray...absolutely...a Double Dip....seems to hold the color longer and it looks better If I do a spray tan I always tan for a few minutes first As far as pricing different between a booth and airbrush ....consider that with airbrushing you are putting in your or an employee's time...time which someone else must be there to run the store...charge more

Rep Power: 18 | Re: 2 questions about airbrush tanning $30 full body $10 face $15 lower/upper body I think the tanning before/after sunless tan depends on the solution that you are using. At a different salon that I used to airbrush at, it was important that you didn't have any lotions/oils/perfumes on your skin prior to airbrushing because it could get in the way of the solution developing evenly. After, we would put them in our stand up for like 6-7 minutes; it was airconditioned and you didn't even get sweaty. But, at the new salon I'm at, 90% of the mystic customers tan before the spray tan and say they enjoy the results better when they do the cocktail. I would think that the solution wouldn't soak in as well because of the natural body oils that are produced during tanning would get in the way of the dha development.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: 2 questions about airbrush tanning i charge $30 for a full body spray and $15 for just face, neckline and arms. I get really good results doing only the spray; i've never had anyone tan before the spray though i don't think it will hinder the results any if you tan first. |
