Years on acrylic

So....how long should a piece of acrylic last?

I was told by between 600 - 1000 hours. I guess it would depend on each unit though. When it starts to look bad replace it.

Acrylics should be replaced 3,000-4,000 hours or when they need to be if prior to that. According your theory you would be replacing them every lamp change.

In Texas they replace them every lamp change, so around 250 hours. The rest of the World probably changes them up around 3000 hours or so.

4000hrs is a good long time for a $300 part to last. Sounds like a good deal to me.

If you maintainence your equipment, keep the acrylics clean, we swap top and bottom out every year, I have had to replace them all once and they had about 4 years on them.
Dont change anything until it needs it.

Go by hours not actual age. Otherwise you are just throwing money out the window IMO.
