Not sure

Hi,

I'm a 19 y/o Caucasian male living in NYC. Before, my skin was darker, so I brushed this problem in the past, but in the past few years, most of my body got pale (almost paper white). My farmers tan is even considered to be pale by many but Im fine with it.

My main concern is for my skin to just pink back up so I'm really not looking for that Caribbean type of tan.

I believe my skin wont burn if I use a tanning salon, but it will alter my skins color instantly, so I will regret it.

So, I was considering to just sunbath in my outdoor area and supplement with tyrosine for the month of August. With that said, if my skin happens to darken during that time period, will my skin go back to its ultra-pale stage during the fall/winter/spring months? I understand that there are methods to prolong a tan, but I do not want to devote myself to a salon and constantly moisturize my body.

Also, from my understanding, sunless tans will leave my skin too dark and will probably fade after the next day. Is there some type of "a few shades darker than pale" type of lotion?

What do you think?

Re: Not sure

I think you are making this much harder than it is. How about visit a tanning salon once a week? It takes many sessions to get real dark. Just once a week for a short period of time and you'll be fine.

most people...especially very light skinned people will not get "instant" color from one session in a tanning bed. TWO is right, go to your local salon, get skin typed, tell them what your goal is and they should be able to guide you........if you only go once a week or less, depending on the bed, you won't get "carribean dark"

Re: Not sure

Thanks for the feedback,

I guess its best if I just consult with someone who specializes in this. Any recommendations in the NY/NJ area?

Someone who specializes in what? Not tanning?! For whatever reasons, you are opposed to every method known to man for getting what it is you think you want. Just be happy with what you are, and spare yourself the pain of not attaining that which you only wish you had. Hope this helps. Good luck. -Belvy

Re: Not sure

WHY EVEN POST IF YOU PLAN ON NOT following good advise. I have alot of clients that come in once or twice a week for half the tanning time. They dont get dark but they do get some color - otherwise it would just be a waste of thier time.

I would need a lot more info.
1. Is your mom hot?
2. Do you have any pictures of her? If so send to derf704@hotmail.com
That should be all I need.
