Rep Power: 0 | gift certificates - expiration date I have been in the tanning & salon business for 3 1/2 years. This is the first real time I have had a problem with a customer with a gift certificate. The employee who sold the $50.00 gf did not put a expiration date on it. It was sold b/4 mothers day 2005. She came in today and demanded that i let her use it because it had no exp. date. suggestons ?? |

I know you're not supposed to but I do put expirations on mine just to force customers to use them and not let them sit for years. Some gift cards that you get they either decrease in value or something like that. So I dont' see any harm in writing a date on there, now that we write that on there we don't have a problem with them coming in late. |
