Exclamation Grip Marketing problems!

We have just started using Gripmarking to try and create a stamped look. After many mistakes and billing issues we finally got most marketing projects corrected and resolved. We just opened a new store the middle of this May and were planning a Mid-June Grand Opening event advertising this event with 5,000 of Grip's 9"x 5" postcards. After 2-3 miscommunications and the first set of postcards going out late to the completly wrong side of town, we postponed the event and honored the specials featured on these postcards. I was a little frustrated and losing patience so I thought if I just did some demographic homework myself and just tried to canvas 5,000 of the 11,000 houses in my stores vicinity how could I lose. I did everything I could to ensure these cards went out in the right area and in time. Today is my Grand Opening event, Radio station is here, and invitations to friends, family, dist., and people who helped get us going went out and guess what not one post card made it into the market. I wonder if anyone else has had similar problems with these guys or is it just my luck. I see them advertising on this site and talking themselves up to be "marketing pros". But our results have shown them to be misleading, dishonest, and miscommunicated. Anyone who uses these "Marketing Pros" should make sure their mailings are going to go out to their market and on time, after all how will you know they did not go out late? Or to the wrong area?

Re: Grip Marketing problems!

YES! SAME EXACT SITUATION. Do a search for GRIP and you'll see they are the nicest ******** artists on the planet. I'm SURE they blamed the USPS in your area, right?

(you know what, let's have MatrixMan.......nah, not even going there. I'll take this one)

Re: Grip Marketing problems!

Grip must have gone down hill over the last few years. I used them for some things including a time sensitive mailing, posters, business cards and some other branded print and everything was fine. I have not used them over the last 3 years.

Exclamation Re: Grip Marketing problems!

No, pretty sure he just gave up the lying. When I finally could get him(Vincent Fowler) on the phone today I asked him for the truth and was put on hold, he came back on quickly and with a sober tone said "no, they did not make it", I paused waiting for an apology or offer of some free business cards(which were delivered incorrect and late). But nothing. I just hung up and am now trying to think how to get people in this weekend.

Re: Grip Marketing problems!

ME TOO!!!!! I used them 3years ago, and I had the exact same experience!!! I used them again this year, because I was in a pinch, and guess what . . .I had the same horrible experience!! No one got my post cards for my tan free weekend on time, for all 3 of my locations. Believe it or not it was, according to Grip, my USPS's fault!! (Even though not all of the locations are in the same state!!) I don't know how these guys stay in business!!

Re: Grip Marketing problems!

It is ALWAYS the USPS fault if you ask Grip! And if you happen to get GARY on the phone, man, watch out, he'll talk you to death for an hour before you can ever get a word in to say "uncle"!

As was said earlier -- the quality of the product was usually good in the past, but screw-ups like this are increasingly common -- and NEVER the fault of the 'expert marketers" at Grip!

Of course -- better yet is when you have them "design" something for you (you think), and find the SAME MATERIAL on someone else's website or with a competitor in your own market. Seen that happen multiple times as well!

I wouldn't do business with Grip if they were the last direct mail company on the earth -- and they are not.

Re: Grip Marketing problems!

But the REAL PROBLEM IS that you are fed all this POSITIVE ENERGY and you are READY TO KICK SOME *** and then NOTHING. Your positive kick *** momentum hits a BRICK WALL and you are made to feel like you got CHEATED and feel like an ******* for even falling for this ON TOP OF you now have no where to turn.

You went with Grip because they are supposed to be THE BEST. Not 2nd best, not the little guy. THE TOP **** and they completely broke your spirit AND your bank account.

Don't let it get you down homey. I had the balloons up, the party hats ready, raffle, balloon pop, EVERYTHING.

Then I didn't get the post card. Then I didn't get them next week, then another week and they start to trickle into town over a 2-3WEEK PERIOD.

Maybe 5 walked in with CURRENT CUSTOMERS. Total loss. Still have about 3000 cards sitting at grips HQ rotting.

They are NOT interested in makeing things better without additional payments. THey are not interested in anything but bullshitting their way through their daily routine.

Gary may or maynot respond but when he does, do a search and you'll see, it's EXACTLY the same response that he's given everyone.

OH, THINGS HAPPEN, WE ALWAYS DO RIGHT, YOUR MAIL DELIVERY IN YOUR AREA IS SOME OF THE WORST.

You got support friend.
