Canadian Insurance - No bodily injury coverage

Ok, I checked with a number of companies, those that do cover Tanning all seem to put an exclusion of Bodily injury caused by tanning or use of lotions??

They seem to all say the same thing and have the opinion that the waiver the clients sign before they tan, excludes liability anyway

But, is this the norm, wondering what kind of liability could arise from this exclusion, 5 companies, same exclusion??

Re: Canadian Insurance - No bodily injury coverage

thanks Neon, they got my attention? and make sure you read the real fine print as that is where I found it... they have all the standard bodily injury coverage stuff, then at the end they inserted a clause that says basically, None of what we just said applies to the use of tanning or lotions.

Re: Canadian Insurance - No bodily injury coverage

Yes, I beleive I saw some mention of the tanning issues being excluded. Every year you pay more, and every year the take out more.

Re: Canadian Insurance - No bodily injury coverage

I just renewed mine and if someone were to slip on the mat and ban their head on the bed, I'm covered without the tanning insurance. If they are in the bed and say the canopy falls and breaks a finger, I'm not covered. I'd rather give the customer the money then pay $3200 every year without incidents.

Re: Canadian Insurance - No bodily injury coverage

The insurance would just settle anyway even if they were exaggerating. I'd slip them a ruffie, $20 and a pen to sign the 'this deal is final' paper.
