bronzing beds a lot better?

I have just recently started going tanning at a new location. I found a salon right by my house that offers bronzing beds for $2 a visit. $3 for the facial tanner and $4 for the mega bed or stand up bed. They are the only beds I have ever found that work. I have been to probably 10 or 11 different tanning salons and despite tanning for the max time and on a consistent basis, my skin never even showed the slightest hint of the color change (even after 6-7 months!). I show up at this new place & put a butterfly sticker on my hip and after going just 12 minutes, I have a distinct butterfly mark. It is unbelieveable how tan I get after just 1 session!!

What is the deal with these bronzing beds and why do they work so much better? We used to have 7 tanning salons in my town and they have all had to go out of business because everyone goes to this new place!! The beds are better & cheaper! Everyone I have ever talked to is thrilled about the beds and the results they give. After just a few weeks of tanning, my skin is probably darker than the average African American. And I have never even looked tan before this place!!

The term "bronzing" bed can refer to several different types of beds. We'll need more info on the beds to tell you why they work so much better.

A low pressure "bronzer" bed could mean minimal UVB rays, which is what burns you, HOWEVER is also what stimulates the melanin in your skin so you do need UVB in the tanning process. Higher UVA means you are getting more of the "browning" rays. For $2 to $4 a visit I can only assume you are tanning in a low pressure bed.

...and the previous salons probably did not change their lamps regularly!

if this place is the best and the cheapest and running everyone else out of business....it's only a matter of time before they jack up their prices - so if you can get locked in a great deal now - i would do it!

So true, $4.00 a gallon or 1 tan in our bronzing bed. LOL! That must be some really crappy town if you were tanning for 6-7 mos as you say and had no color change.

My salon charges 4.50 a tan in the 15 minute base bed. (only that price if you buy one single session)

If you buy 20 in mine they will average to 4.50 per tan.
