Hey everyone!

I just took over a salon a month or two ago and the computer is old (6 years) and It has Helios 9.4 on it. Works ok right now with only minor glitches, but I need to upgrade ASAP!. I have the computer but I want to know what system (program) I should go with.

I would love to go with 11.4 but not too sure on the $40 payment every month.
I'm not against it .....I just want to know what my other reasonable options are.

What systems do you suggest and or recommend. (I would prefer one that would let me import all my current client info of course!!!) ;)

I think you would like the Sunlync system. It works great because you have total control over your salon and a password is needed even if giving a courtesy tan so you know who is giving away what and to whom.

Yeah I'm sure the 9.4 is fine but the computer is on it's last leg and I don't have the original disk to transfer the program to another computer :angry:

So I'm going to call Helios and see what I can do, if anything with the old 9.4.

Make sure they know you are a new owner, that will make a BIG difference to the price of re-enrolling.

Can I use the "dongle" or "crypto box" from the old computer to unlock the program from the Demo mode?

If i use it in demo mode do I risk loosing anything over any period of time? (Is the demo on a timer??????)

Did you do an install of v11? If so, no, sorry, the old dongle won't work. And Demo Mode won't delete anything, no timer. If you have more than 25 customers, it just won't let you tan a customer.

You shouldn't be able to do any POS functions n DEMO.
