I got burnt!!!!!! I dont get it tho..... here is the scoop.
I went in my regular bed (Tan America VIP gold 30 bulb max time of 15 minutes) for the max 15 minutes and i got burnt, and i have been at the max time for a LONG time now, over 3 months. My back is red where it touches the acrylic and my stomach is hot to the touch but not red and turns white when i press down but then it goes back to tan, and my butt is really red but it doesnt hurt and it isnt hot.
The bed didnt really feel hot when i got in but i got really hot in the session tho and it felt like i was using my shrine (HOT tingle) like i usually do, but i was using my Cal Tans CT7 bronzer with both fans going..... So i got outta the room when i was finished with the session and asked the manager if they had changed the bulbs since yesterday (cuz i didnt tan yesterday) and she said no.... So they didnt change the bulbs recently if thats what you were gonna say :lol: . Also, i didnt start feeling really hot and i didnt LOOK burnt until like 4 hours later........
So im pretty stumped about this...................................
Any reasonable explanation for me getting burnt?

Maybe the finally cleaned the lamps and acrylics...

I dont get how cleaning the lamps would make me burn, its not like it increased the wattage of the bulbs or something......

taking any meds? antibiotics, skin creams, anything that could make you photosensitive?

You think there is a chance the bed wasn't cleaned properly and maybe tingle left on it from previous tanner? Just curious since the red/burning sounds like it was only on your backside??????????

correct me if im wrong but cleaning the lamps takes the dust off which would block the rays. ive had the same issue in the past. we clean the lamps every 2 weeks. and it seems people do get a little red at that point. or the person before u used tingle and the bed didnt get all the way cleaned.

Yes, everytime we clean the lamps and the acrylics we have to cut back the time on the clients.

It's because the bigger super beds you are used to have much less UVB than that thing.
