Rep Power: 22 | INFRARED SAUNAS IN A TANNING SALON Do any of you salon owners have an infared sauna in your tanning salon? I know that it would work well in a spa or fitness center setting, but would it work in a tanning salon? It seems to be an amazing concept and might work well as another way to generate some income without spending a lot.:sarcasm: |

Rep Power: 21 | Re: INFRARED SAUNAS IN A TANNING SALON I've considered it, and my girlfriend asked me if I'd be adding one... but I haven't really looked into the things. It really seems like a body microwave!! eep! But VERY good for those who really love the relaxing/ meditative quality of a tanning bed, without the light exposure.... |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: INFRARED SAUNAS IN A TANNING SALON That's another way of looking at it. I think you might get a whole new clientelle if it was offered. I think one could canvass the area and offer this service to chiroprators, heath clubs, and the medical community in general. |

Rep Power: 43 | Re: INFRARED SAUNAS IN A TANNING SALON we have a sport facility with a.o. tanning salon and offer also infrared sauna. It's attracts definitely a different clientele. It's doing fairly well, not as well as the tanning beds though. It's nice to make a combi with tanning, nails, beauty, massage, etc. People like that. |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: INFRARED SAUNAS IN A TANNING SALON Yes, I tried one last week. I thought it was a good experience. My wife and I tried it together and she doesn't sweat. Boy, did she sweat in this sauna. I've tried the wet saunas before and I hated it. The infared sauna really makes you feel good. Immeadiately after the session, you cool down. You can touch the sauna and it isn't hot. I'm wondering if a person could do a 30 minute session in the sauna and then do a tanning session. I know that you must have plenty of hydration before and after a session. A sauna would give your soda and water sales a boost. |

Rep Power: 43 | Re: INFRARED SAUNAS IN A TANNING SALON yes you can do a 30 minute session and tanning right afterwards. Or the other way around.... Very relaxing. The infrared sauna heat works differently than 'normal' sauna's so there are a lot more people that benefit from it. The only group that can't go in the infrared is people with implants like hips and knees. The metal gets too hot. |
