I personally don't have problems with diversion as we give our clients a % off if they are a client and give upgrades and such for those that choose to buy with us. I give them all sorts of incentives. |

So what if I was to hire someone to do this exact same thing, but instead of offering at "salon cost" I merely beat your price by 25%, pay the salesperson a comission and ship out the products? Is this wrong because I'm still not charging enough? Personally, I feel that if you have a problem with this then you just need to learn how to diversify your business and grow. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Full service diversion Please elaborate. Explain to me how your only alternative in this business is to control the market (i.e. price fixing). But by all means, continue to do so. It serves me well in some cases. I have several satisfied customers who tan elsewhere because it is closer to work during their lunch hour, but gladly stop at my store on their way home to buy lotion since I only charge $35 for Bohemia and Smolder, $40 for Fortune, $28 for Swanky, and $4 for all samples, just to name a few. You should have seen the look on this one lady's face after paying $70 for a bottle of Fortune and then coming thru my store (for other reasons) and seeing mine for only $40. |

Rep Power: 21 | Re: Full service diversion Maybe offering $x off a package for every lotion purchase? Make it irresistable? Private labeling could help too, as you'd have something not available anywhere else... |
