electricity rates

electric rates went up 22% in CT and are expected to go up 20%-40% for 2007. The last thing I want to do is get rid of any of my workers. What could you do to decrease electricity. I know it sounds like a dumb question that we are in the tanning business but I am looking at around $1400 a month in the peak season.

Re: electricity rates

MD is increasing rates more than 74% on top of the 19% increase in the last year.

On top of that, our usage is up.

Re: electricity rates

If you can, install a economizer on your AC unit. That will help in the winter and spring. The cost of the unit will pay for itself in about a year, maybe two.

Re: electricity rates

Man, I wish my electricity rates were that low. My HP bed is kicking my rear on electricity since I have recieved it. Our electricity bills have almost doubled. It's a no win situation.

Re: electricity rates

Really I watch the heat and AC - When Im here I'll suffer a little bit be it freeze of melt. The employess don't give a **** though. As far as the customers - I don't think they really notice.
