The surveyor is in an office that's located far away and he doesn't use email so we have to wait a week to get a official responce to a question...

he, wants me to pay legals fee's towards a lease that hasn't even been written yet!!!
I negotiate a rent free period on the premises if I sort out some maintenance problems, so I agree to that gives me time to do shop fittings etc.
BUT then says after that I can not have a rent free period if I want a breakaway clause at 12 months which is a totally separate thing!!!

arrghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
Ouch that is not a nice starting-up process. No other suitable property around? I'm just thinking, what if something is wrong a year from now and there is noone to call right away....?

Sorry didn't realise this was a US forum it didn't mention this in the forum rules or the FAQ's.
Anyway, I'm here on the forum now and it apears Marca and Tropictan have made the same mistake as me.
O my is this a US-only forum???

Absolutely not! In typical fashion, those of us that ARE U.S. tend to think we are the center of the universe :) , but there are more than a handful of folks from the U.K, Canada, Australia and other places that post -- and are welcome!

There isn't anywhere else local really.
The area where we are is very much saturated apart from the small shop we are trying to get sorted which is in an ideal location for it's size.
If the business was to grow fast I would open another salon as well rather than trying to expand this one.

Thanks SunSally! I'm enjoying it, seeing different insights from all over. There are differences and it's only interesting to compare and learn from eachother.

And then solartrack, i would'nt mind it being so expensive if they could of been bothered to call you back! downloaded the demo version, but you have to set it up, ok not rocket science but i've got better things to do with my time. also proberbly heard more negative things about sw/company than positive. dont like the idea also that you dont own it, if you dont renew each year it stops working, yeh great, got you by the balls or wat!! but wat bugged me most of all was that they could'nt be arsed to return my calls, when im interested in buying a product and i contact the company not once but twice and they still cant be f**kin arsed to call back AHHHHHhhhhhh happens far too often in this country bad customer service as your probly finding out . For the sw im considering i'll email the details to you.
Tropictan, the experience you had was unacceptable and I can only apologise for this. I don't know why you were not called back. I appreciate your post is 6 months old but if you want to discuss this further, please contact me: Simon 0161 976 9631.

Re: Is there any Complete Salon Managment Software solutions?

the annual charge puts software out of reach for small salons like mine...
sortrack, why not develop some software that does basics but doesn't need a massive initial outlay and then a year subscription?

this is obviously a gap in the market so easy for you to exploit.

Hi JohnHamer1977,

This is an interesting concept. What constitutes the "basics"? What features would you want and how much are you willing to pay? (You can PM me if you prefer or email me at simong@solartrack.com)

Best wishes,

Simon
