Exclamation Multivitamin/Amino Acids

I read in another thread (the red head thread) about the only pills you can take that will benefit in tanning is a multivitamin with Amino Acids, because the amino acids create more melanin.......... So, if you take the multivitamin that has Amino Acids in it, you will be able to tan darker than your skin would have allowed before?? Was i hearing this right??????
If so, anybody know of any multivitamins that have alot of Amino Acids??
LOL, i read that statement from Mike Jones..... So he can chime in too if he wants.................

Re: Multivitamin/Amino Acids

U are sweet. I think he was talking about the L-Tyrosine, but I don't know. Like Tan-Aid or something. I mentioned the Melanotan, which (to my knowledge) is not yet available on the market. Melanotan is an injection that produces more melanin, or something to that effect. It is supposed to give fair-skinned people a tan without sun exposure...supposedly, it has more health benefits than just producing a tan. I wont believe it though until it is available. I know I would use it WITH the tanning beds! LOL!!

Re: Multivitamin/Amino Acids

Ok, stop with the BS Melotan and tan pills. That's not what I'm talking about. Amino acids are what the proteins that make up your body are...er made from. (something like that)

The only way to increase melanin production is to provide your body with the necessary building blocks to be able to create an "abundance" of melanin. Just like when you work out at the gym.
If you don't diet at all, you'll get bigger, but you won't be cut, you won't have any stamina, and probably be a barrel ***. If you diet and take vitamins, you'll get bigger faster, more cut, and in better overall health.

Go to GNC, get a multivitanim that's filled with the following:

lysine, leucine, isoleucine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, valine. Histidine and arginine

Or you can just check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amino_acid

This wikipedia site is unreal.

Re: Multivitamin/Amino Acids

The jury is still out on whether or not combined amino acid tablets or free form Tyrosine are effective. I know people who have tried it and not experienced results.

The problem is that it's food, not medication. You already have enough essential aminos in the blood, the rest are thrown off.

Same goes for anything that's not regulated by the FDA. Creatine isn't supposed to do anything either...but it does.

Re: Multivitamin/Amino Acids

Aww, I'm sorry Matrix, I donated those to you! And BTW, thanks for the points.:) Although You did not have to do that. To mike, I NEVER said you are the one that suggested Melanotan, or even brought up the subject. I knew that you mentioned something about a multivitamin, which I assumed you were speaking of ones that contain L-tyrosine, b/c I have heard L-tyrosine is used for that purpose, as well as a mood enhancer.
You should read back on this post, bc I never said you mentioned that drug. I have read VERY LITTLE on this subject, b/c I did not think it would ever be marketed anyway. MATRIX...sweetie, if you want to look up Melanotan, just google it, I'm sure you will find out more about it than I know. :)

Re: Multivitamin/Amino Acids

Creatine wordks, as does DHEA, but again, the mechanism is different. If you ask an MD, Chiropractors are worthless, but anyone who's ever been to one knows that chiropractic is very effective.

Free form amino acids also have medicinal effects. L-Tryptophan worked so well they had to yank it from the market just before Prozac was released. The Arginine/Ornithine stack also works very well.

That said, their still foods literally, not just by FDA definition. Excess does get thrown off if you have enough in the system -- just like creatine -- too much of that and you'll be planning your day around the nearest bathroom.

That said, my only point is that a lot of people who have tried free form L-tyrosine to enhance tanning (including me) have found it to be ineffective.

Finally, nothing is without side effects. As they say, "If Viagra doesn't work, take Prozac and you won't care."
