Unhappy I wish busy season was long gone (from the customers point of view)

WOW.... i know the season is just starting, or hasnt even started for some, but i went to tan yesterday at my salon and there was 11 people in the lobby waiting, all of the beds were full (becuase you cant request beds) AND there was a 10 minutes wait!!!!! OMFG!!!! And the salon has 30 beds, and there still was a 10 minute wait!!! And plus, when they called my name, The manager, Jen (who i know well) i was asking her a questions about the beds and she was like uh huh, uh huh, yah..... and then she answered the question. I remember in the slow season when it is just the regulars tanning and the not the Spring Break rush. They would answer my questions so well and now they are just like, ok hurry up. Which is normal for a salon in busy season i guess. And also they had 3 people operating the beds and 1 bed cleaner, but the others cleaned beds too.

My customers are complaining about the wait also. Good for the salon owner but bad for the client when there aren't enough beds. Ask her when the best time of day would be to come in to avoid the wait, Matrix.

Well the best you can do for the customer is give them the most comfortable waiting time you possibly can. I have a TV with Cable sometimes it's has a Slideshow with tanning prices lotions and stuff. And when Im here working my customers laugh their heads off as I happen to be a funny guy. Are the people at your salon at least friendly and fun so you're not bored to death while waiting for a tan and make you feel like you've wasted your money.

I agree with^^. Ask when you can come in and not have to wait. At my salon, you will have a short wait at 3:00 and 5:00. The slowest times are 9:00am til 11:00am and 6:00 pm til 7:30pm.

I have a store attached to the salon so it works well for me because they shop while they wait. I also have tv and I let the customer select whatever channel they want to watch. Or I'll tell another customer to pick a flavor of incense and I burn those. If the owner/employee keeps it interesting, the wait shouldn't be so bad.

We offer 5 min massage while waiting when we have an intern from the massage school. My clients don't mind the wait one bit!

I always try to tell people to come in earlier in the day if they are concerned about the wait. We are slowest early in the morning.

I know I don't tan as much during busy season.I get my fill working in the industry this time of year.I tan the most from the time new lotions are introduced up to busy season.

My partner just called me from the salon. She said, don't call me unless you absolutely have to. I guess she's slammed. Her little brother came into tan and she's making him help clean beds!

LOL... yah i was going at around 5. So tonight i am going at around 7, to see what that is like. Not too much to do while waiting, but their seats are very comfy tho, leather seats and leather couches. But still, 30 beds and still a 10 minute wait?! Holy crap, thay have to making at least 1,000 a day.
