Myrtle Beach anyone? - tanTALK

We are planning our summer vacation in July. We've done FL for awhile now and thought about someplacfe different. My husband suggested Myrtle Beach. Anyone have any opinions?

I've never personally been there, but everyone that I've talk to who has been there loved it. Lots of golf courses.

Yeah are are looking at different things to do there. I just want to relax. lol We live in IN and its actually going to be cheaper to drive we think. 11 hours in a car isn't the thing I'd like to do, but airfare is not cheap to go there. Its like not I make money or anything LOL

I have been there every year since I was about 2 years old. Being from West Virginia, we call it the Redneck Riviera. That is where everyone here goes for vacation. But it is very nice, there is tons of stuff to do - especially if you have kids and even if you don't. We were there in August and they were finishing a lot of new hotels and condos which should be open by now.

No snow for us! lol We are in VIncennes, southern part. Got a dusting, but nothing big.

No, we don't have kids yet, but it looks like there are alot of fun things to do. I would like to stay in a condo by the ocean. A decent priced one of course. It seems like everything there is just more expensive than FL.

Here is where we usually stay, well actually the corp. that owns a group of resorts where we usually stay. They are very nice, especially Camelot By the Sea and the Carolinian.

Myrtle is awesome. Was there in Sept. Stayed in a condo on the beach that a friends mother owns. I will not drive it again though, I will take Hooters Air (hee hee) there cheap and quick
