To my canadian friends...
looking for information on what kind of duty and taxes i would have to pay to bring in a bed from the u.s. I also believe I would have to get csa approval. Anybody done this before? Direction please......

yes, they have to have some kind of electrical approval sticker on them. we have had to get that before from beds we purchased from an ontario distributor, had to call in an electrician to inspect them and put this sticker on them

Which disty was that? Seems a bit odd. ETL testing should be sufficient.

You'll pay GST and a brokerage fee to UPS or whoever delivers it unless you have your own broker.

And don't forget to set up an import number with Revenue Canada. Because until you have that they won't release it. It only takes a few minutes.

Yeah, just buy some Tanses beds and save yourself some problems. They're made in Quebec....nice and close for you.
