Rep Power: 130 | Re: Expiration on packages I obviously have a exp. date on a month unlimited or two week, but I called consumer affairs before I bought my business and inquired about exp dates on prepaid packages example, 10 tans for $ or 200 min for $, and they informed me that I could not expire the package. I could expire the offer like you have till Feb 1st to buy at this price. That the prepaid tans were considered a gift certificate for that person. There is one other way my lawyer said I could get around it. That I could post that after 6 months one tan a month will be removed from the account for "maintaince". Because you are having to maintain their records. The prev. owner exp. prepaid packages and got into some trouble. So I made mine no exp. It has worked out ok, most people really use them up quick. The vacationers really like it cuz they can maintain their tan when they get back. I also let family members share the prepaid packages either way I am getting my money, no matter who uses it, as long as the purchaser has given permission. So far no problems. But I am curious how others approach this issue. |

Rep Power: 19 | Re: Expiration on packages On the form that I have new clients fill out, it states on there that all packages expire 1 year from the date of purchase. (Except of course the monthly packages.) So, everyone knows that they only have 1 year. I have a program that i click on a button everyday and it tells me whose packages are about to expire within the next 30 days. I then send them a letter and let them know when thier package expires and how many they have left. It works really good cause they all comment about how they loved to receive the letter as a reminder and they buy another package.

Rep Power: 52 | Re: Expiration on packages 1 Year on sessions, computer then automatically takes away. To be honest in most cases we will add them back and use the oppty. to remind the dummies of our policy. It is on the client info sheet that they sign and on almost all of our printed material but......... |

Rep Power: 57 | Re: Expiration on packages We have a sign and the form that everyone must sign clearly states that all discounted packages have an expiration date. That's why they're getting it at a discount. It's called "Terms Of Purchase". However, if anyone pays full price, they don't expire. We do offer people who have expired tans, that if they buy at least the same package again, we will add back the expired ones. |
