Need help understanding lamps

Hi there, I was reading through some posts and I can tell that you know a bit about lamps, and the different types. I too have been doing a lot of research on them.....and as soon as I think I've got it all figured out, I get confused again. I just bought a used puretan bed that is in very good condition. It has Velocity lamps in it, they are VEL73-T12. Can you or anyone else tell me anything about these lamps? I don't know a thing about them. Thanks for any help or advice.......

PS I'm just a newbie here running a 2 bed tanning/hair salon in small town

I have the new Rave 7.0 lamps in my other Puretan bed...how would these lamps compare? They are 20 minute lamps.

Re: Need help understanding lamps

The Rave lamps are more like the original lamps that came in the bed.

The Original lamp was the Puratan S+, the S+ is a bit stronger than the Wolff Velocity. The Velocity lamps are a decent lamp for beginner tanners, I'm sure the Rave lamps will please your more serious tanners.

You have plenty of options when it comes to lamps, stick with a long life & about a 5% UVB output for those units & you will have no problems.

Here are some options:
Heraeus New Colors F73/T 100
LSI Midday Sun
Philips Advantage
Cal Tan Helio F73/5.0
Cosmolux ESP
