Rep Power: 0 | I am so irritated !! Not only are there 5 salons from 2 blocks to within 2 miles of mine........Sun Tan City has bought the one closest to me and will be opening one 3 times that size by Feb. ! I need some encouragement from you guys! My salon is upscale, clean, comfortable, and classy...........but how do I compete with $18.88 a month unlimited and if a customer decides to cancel thier EFT, they give them $100 in gift certificates to keep them. I know "you get what you pay for" but.....after a season like we're having now, I'm so frustrated that they will run me out! Holding my breathe (but screaming inside!) until busy season ! |

Rep Power: 57 | Their $18.88 is the bait. Take a look at the rest of their pricing. Not much different than PT prices. They do however, seem to be growing rapidly in the midwest. With 11 beds, you might want to consider doing EFT. Look at making yourself different from them. |

Rep Power: 30 | Not all of the salons are going to be put out of business but rather the one(s) who are running a poor business and under serving their clients! If you always run your business to be the best you should not have to worry. |

Rep Power: 0 | what does PT pricing mean ? I'm still trying to learn the lingo of "you veterans". I have done EFT in the past. Haven't in a while. but need to set that up again. I do have UV Free . I do very well with that. I also have a Veteran Nail Tech who is AWESOME ! I have a Hydromassage and (ARGGG........) Lumiere. The biggest hurt for my salon is my location. I am on a very busy street, but located on the side of the building, and unless customers are heading into town, I'm not really easy to see. I do quite a bit of advertising, and word of mouth is my best form of advertising, I'm just frustrated b/c this suntan city will be in a pretty good size strip mall with a Y, a grocery store, a couple of big name clothing stores and just has alot more visibily than I have. My advertising budget is almost gone for the year (which I learned my lesson from) and it's a s. t .r. e. t .c. h. to do a mail out this time of year. I am planning a Christmas Open House with a Large advertising for that, and I have an email program that will also promote my open house. |
