Rep Power: 0 | OUr salon did a "refer a friend" deal. I made up cards on my own computer. The card basically had a place for the tanner to sign their own name. And hand the card to a friend. It said that if the friend brought this card in (with their name on it, the client i gave it to) and bought so many tans, then the person who referred it would get so many free tans. Ex. Friend buys a month package, the referral got 3 free. This really worked well with the high school kids. We also posted flyers in grocery stores, beauty salons, restuarants & taverns. I also found that advertising in the newspaper was a waste, unless I took out a huge ad that no one could overlook. Hope this helps!!! |

I like the cheap stuff, lots and lots of different things that take more effort than money, I’m a strong believer in “Word of mouth”. Bikini babes handing out flyers. (new customers) Co-advertising with other businesses. (new customers) Email. (existing customers) Salon Parties. (existing customers) Web-sites. Having a program isn’t as valuable without the ability to email. Tom |

Rep Power: 117 | Billboards r great! If you have a website definately advertise it on a billboard. They r not that expensive (at least in my area) and it's a daily reminder to those that drive by everyday. That's where I put my ad money. |
