Rep Power: 107 | Check with your state's Labor Board. Our State allows workers to be as young as 14 years with a signed work permit. The permit states which hours the students are allowed to work and maximum hours per week they can work. Also check on your state's requirements for age limits if you are planning to have only one employee work during a shift. Our state doesn't allow minors to be alone regardless of the shift. |

Rep Power: 20 | In Florida, a person under the age of 18 must have someone over 18 with them at all times. Also only 18 or older is allowed to be an operator. I require 18 or older to work in my salon. I occasionally will hire under 18 for bed cleaners only, but they are always with someone 18 or older. (at least this is what I have been told by my inspector.) |
