TEENAGE PREGNANCY - tanTALK

I think I am going to hurl. this 16 yr old girl comes in with her dad 2 months ago. We did the usual stuff explaining to him she should start slow blabla bla, Anyway My daughter goes to the hospital today and is having her baby tonight. Guess who was in the waiting room The DAD. His 16 yr old had a baby today. We thought she looked pregnant and hinted towards it, but he said she a a pole in her back that made her tummy pop out. We thought okay. He told my daughter he just found out 3 weeks ago. SURPRISE We should have followed our instints and asked her right? We even went and check her client card and she marked it no. I am in shock.

My concern is we could have kept her from tanning. she so could have harmed her baby in the placenta. What could she have been thinking...

actually.. there is nothing linking birth defects to tanning...its can be very umfortable when a woman is in her later term of pregannacy form the heat, and the lotions can be irritating to her skin due to hormones, etc... you should do more reading about being pregant and tanning

Have had many soon to be moms use my facility...usually up to the 8th month...after that it's hard to get in and out of beds...Clients should always consult their doc, but IT WILL NOT HARM THE BABY! Bet you think tanning can fry your ovaries and organs too. Correct about the heat thing though.

Is your salon anywhere near a trailer park by chance? Pregnant at 16, by her own dad?! At least he did the right thing and was there for her through the whole thing. ~shrug~
