Rep Power: 0 | I was reading some articles on Hollywood Tans, and here is a thought...If no on is that concerned about Hollywood Tans and losing their business to them, then why are there so many small time business owners bashing everything about HT? I think instead of being on this site all day bashing a competitor that obviously can easily crush your store, maybe you should take that time and deidcate it to making your salon better and therefore less threatened by HT and large franchises. But, hey its just food for thought....or is it? |

And I know that anyone who comes in here and condescendingly implys we should be doing something other than running our businesses in a manner of our own choosing by someone barely out of high school and who can't even spell the word dedicate might get treated to the real definition of the word.... dedicate ded·i·cate [ déddi kàyt ] (past and past participle ded·i·cat·ed, present participle ded·i·cat·ing, 3rd person present singular ded·i·cates) transitive verb Definitions: 1. devote attention to something: to spend time or energy doing something 2. commit yourself to something: to commit yourself or your life to something 3. address work of art to somebody: to associate a book, piece of music, or other art form with somebody as a token of friendship or esteem or as an acknowledgment of help received 4. play music addressed to somebody: to play a piece of music, or request the playing of a piece of music, as a tribute, especially on the radio 5. set something aside for purpose: to set something aside for a particular purpose an entire TV series dedicated to birds 6. set something apart as holy: to set something apart for a sacred purpose or to the memory of a holy person, saint, or god, especially in a ceremony for this purpose [15th century. ded·i·ca·tee [ dèddi kay t ]n ded·i·ca·tive [ déddi kàytiv ]adj ded·i·ca·tor [ déddi kàytər ]n Maybe after you become a salon owner, you will be able to answer your own question? |

But, hey its just food for thought....or is it? Why are you so hurt by these posts, Bum? Humans lash out when they feel threatened. Why do these posts threaten you? Are you an employee at an HT? Are you afraid their is some truth to what has been said? You must be, otherwise you wouldn't have let yourself become so angry. The truth hurts. Sometimes it's tough to accept that, but you will be able to accept a little better when you're older. Here's some food for your thought: People who offer others food for thought don't use the word "Duh" without a comma. HT is a flash in the pan. A flu in the body tanning. A boil on the a$$ of the industry. An infected hang nail on our little toe. Ring worm on our left cheek. A big hairy mole on growing ... where was I? Oh yeah, work on your patience, Bum. It will help you feel better about things out of your control; like what other people say about things you have no clue about. Good luck. |
