Statistics for Married vs Single tanners? - tanTALK

How many times more likely is a single person going to tan vs a married person?

The question is based on valuing single & married people from demographic studies.

I find that married people tend to bring in thier spouses and tan together. But as far as who tans more married people or single people I dont see thier being a difference really.

A lot of our married couples also come in together. But, there is also that percentage who are married and their spouse doesn't tan at all. It's hard to really give an estimate.

I guess I'm going to survey the customers at the salon, if it is 5:1 or any such ratio I'm going to adjust my market research, big time.

I meant 5 singles to one married tanner. That may be a high guess. Maybe 3:1. But I think it's a good idea to direct your marketing towards th 28-35 age demographic. That age group will typically have more disposable income than the younger group. Hope this helps. Good luck.
