I actually have seen some cracks from elbows. Don't know how it happens, but it does. One lady actually put her knee through the acrylic and busted a bulb at the salon where I used to tan.

As for those butt moons and bunny tails, I don't have that problem. I just lay with my legs in frog position for a while to take the pressure off that spot on my lower back. That position also removes the butt moon issue by altering the folds beneath your butt. I used to flip, but after the lady put her knee through the acrylic, I decided against that. And, I have NO tan lines other than the little heart sticker I use to track my progress.

That is what i do too.

You should always clean every inch of the tanning surface top and bottom .You could look at your hands right now and they may look clean but look at them under a microscope and eeww! There are things (like hep c) that your eyes can't see and are transmitable by body fluid like sweat& saliva . Lets have good tanning bed hygiene .

Do you germ-a-phobes also sanitize the pen the customer signs in with each time, the door handle as they enter the store, the door handle on the bathroom, etc.

Also, do you all bleach your towels every time? Just wondering, as I'm kind of a germ-a-phobe myself, but I try to keep it under control.

I had to let go a guy, who had that same question. When my customers started to complain that was enough!

Every part of the bed gets cleaned after every visit. We shut the bed and clean the tops of the beds on the outside aprox. every 3rd tan.
