Rep Power: 20 | obviously if your salon is maintained well and decorated good its going to appeal to customers...but i have been wondering if there is a way to decorate to make customers think different about themself and what not....kinda hard to explain...but i have been thinking if it would be better to have the paint in the salon be a darker color like brown rather than white for the fact that maybe customers will feel that they are more dark just for the fact that the inside is more dark? do you guys understand what im saying? let me get some feedback |

Rep Power: 0 | I understand what you are saying, but if it is too dark the rooms may appear smaller, and even be a little depressing. Go with a earth tone brown, not a chocolate and that will likely still have the affect you are hoping for. If you got some flattering light fixtures that could also help. Ours are frosted a soft amber and it makes the light look great on the skin. Good luck. |

Rep Power: 21 | We have our walls a nice neautral earthy brown and our doors almost a french vanilla coloring. It lightens the place up, makes the rooms look bigger, and a nice contrast with out going grim in color. |

Rep Power: 0 | To make your people look more tan and look great when they are in your salon you need the right ceiling lighting. The bulbs that most stores put in the ceil are bulb that are normally found at Home Depot etc. Go to an electric wholesaler in your area. The ceil 4' bulbs come in different four different colors. You do not want a blue tint like found at Home Depot etc. You want a bulb that has a pinkish tint. Your people will think that they are getting the best tan in town. E-mail me if you need more help. dlstrock@aol.com Have fun Miami Bronz |

Rep Power: 20 | thats a great idea about the lighting...right now we have white eveything in the rooms...then in the open area we have a light yellow and white...its nice looking but looks a little too bright for me...i personally like darker colors...i do agree though that lighter colors do make the room/space look bigger than they appear but right now with our white rooms you can see every spec of dirt/dust and what not...and it sucks when people get brown lotion on the walls because that sticks out really bad...even though we clean everyday one or 2 clients might end up seeing it...with brown walls i think cleaning would be easier and hide dirt better...i wonder if the "pinkish" bulbs you guys are talking about would still benefit in a white room? |
