Taxes & Death, How true! (Help) - tanTALK

OMG, We have had the same lady do our personal, NOT BUSINESS taxes for over 13 years, Yesterday, we got a letter from the
"IRS" stating we own them from 2003 mind you $593.00 for a mistake our tax lady did.

Are we responsible for paying this? Why do you pay someone to do your taxes if they screw up, it is my fault she messed up? Plus, I am sure interest etc, has been added.

I called her last night, and left a message.........probably gone to Maui, I am peeved.........help with any advise please, she is messing with my tanning money, and NOBODY DOES THAT...............help. I am going to die at a young age, between this and my husband new business.........which we have a CPA for, thank god! HELP...........

Errrrrrrrr, I hate this.

You chose the tax lady - so in the eyes of the IRS, you are liable. Unless you can work something out with your accountant so that she covers the mistake, plan to pay the $600.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that is the wrong anwser, I would hope she would at least pay the interest on it...........errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
