Would like to get some PROFESSIIONAL opinions on my remodel. We are currently moving around the beds so that the upgrades and stand ups are in the front of the salon and the base beds towards the back of the salon. (it looks like a long hallway) This way the base tanners can see what our upgrades are and hopefully get curious and try them out. My question is about colors? I'm getting rid of the overdone tropical theme that was so popular when we firt opened and doing a modern/contemporary look. We want to color coordinate our bed groups (base mega Hp and so forthe). What colors seem to be popular in your salons and do you have any furniture in your salon? I'm thinking about getting a love seat and some chairs with a coffee table and a nice TV to create kinda of a sitting room while peopole wait. Right now we just have a few chairs in the lobby..BLAH! Suggestions are appriciated! Thanks!

We are doing a light green with bamboo airbrushed on the walls, I had seen it in a nail salon in a movie. I think the modern look will be nice. Ikea has cool furniture at good prices and they deliver!

I’ve always advocated professional designers/decorators mostly because I’m artistically retarded so for me, casting a professional eye on things like color schemes and layout seems like a good investment.

I used the designer who did the M.A.C. and AVEDA remodels in the mid-atlantic area to design and set colors in my store. We are primaraly white on white (crating a spa atmosphere) with accent walls in a lime green tone in the lobby and the loft area, while the accent wall in the rooms are a darker orange tone with slate floors and black leather furniture with stainless and glass tables and mirrors. Free form glass amazing chandiliers and incredible wall lighting at waist height in the common areas.
