The new salon we are moving into is about 2000 square feet. The salon we are moving from is about 1700 sq. feet. We currently have 8 beds one of which is a stand-up. I have tried every way I can figure and can only get 8 rooms, the stand-up, and the Mystic original into the new location. Doesn't it seem like I should be able to get MUCH more rooms into this size building?

Depends on width of your salon, how much you are using for "lobby/counter", if you have an office, if you are required to have 1 bathroom or two, if you will have a separate laundry room, etc.

you are adding less than 20% more s.f. and are able to add 20% more equip (10 vs. 8 ). Sounds about right if you are using a similar layout.

I have 15 tanning rooms in 2100 s.f.

That was weird - I tried to put an 8 and then a end parenthesis and it turned into a red mean face!!

Guess I just learned a new smiley face symbol!

Well the salon is 42' 8" side to side and there is 37' 4" usable space front to back. The restroom is in one back corner and the laundry is in the other back corner. In between them are now storage spaces but we are going to place the Mystic directly in the center of the room which will leave a nice size room on each side for possible expansion. This was 2 units and we took down the wall to make it 1. How do you have your salon laid out, what is your room sizes? We are building 7x9 rooms for conventional beds. I'm not sure of the counter space yet? Still pondering that one!
