Rep Power: 21 | I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the correct category, but I was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with Squeeze Products? I recently purchased their so-called new and improved "Twist" and was told I was receiving the "Manager's Special" after telling them that the previous owner carried this lotion and they couldn't get it to move. I finally sold the old "Twist" after selling it for 40% off. Squeeze told me that if their lotion didn't sell within 30 days, they would buy the lotion back. I thought we would give them a try. BIG MISTAKE! I sold one bottle, and our customer asked for an exchanged after using it one time. She claimed it left her looking red and stinging for 2 days. I had sampled another bottle, and the lotion was eating right through the plastic cups! Needless to say, we have called the Squeeze Co. at least 5 times and all we get is the runaround. Has anyone else bought and had problems with this company? Any advice on how to handle them? I'm new to this business, just a year, and this is the first company I have had major problems with. |

Rep Power: 21 | Well, after calling Squeeze Products 7 times, demanding to speak to a manager, I finally got a little ways with them. They are willing to send me a different lotion, but I have to pay to ship the 11 (out of 12)bottles we bought, back to them. When I told the manager that I sampled out one bottle, but it ate through the plastic sample cups, she claimed it happened because this lotion is so hot! Well, I have other hot lotions, but none of them have eaten through the sample cups. If this lotion eats through plastic, what is it doing to a tanner's skin? Needless to say, I will probably get stuck with another lotion that will not move and possibly having to reduce the price just to get it to sell. I will also have to spend more money, because of the shipping cost for sending the Twist lotion back. (They won't credit me for the bottle I sampled up, even though I didn't get to sell any samples). I've been in business, only one year, and this is the first company I have had trouble with. As soon as I am squared with this company, I will ask them to removed me from their calling list. I will never purchase another product from them! I hate to rant about this, but hopefully I will save another salon owner from ever dealing with this company. |

Rep Power: 21 | Thanks for the good advice, fellow owners. I wish I had found this site a while back. I do have 4 companies I deal with on a regular basis. They call me at least once a month to see how things are going, tell us about the latest products, promotions, or specials. So far, I've had no problem with these other companies and I would highly recommend them to any salon. I think I'll take your advice tan man, I'll at least make sure they have to pay as much shipping (or more) as I do to ship this awful lotion back to them!! |
