I haven't been tanning. As a matter of fact I'm turning like a corpse color and my face looks like its gone 10 rounds with tyson. (sick imagery yes, but not far from reality in my opinion). Why? who knows, maybe ive tanned too much and ive killed my skin. Maybe I used a bad moisturizor and/or face accelerator. Maybe god realized im irish and was not supposed to have nice color to begin with. In any case its breaking my heart like you wouldn't believe, and I need to try some thing else.
So forget about those darn tanning booths.
Now what do I have left? Outdoor tanning... maybe get a low spf like 20 and spend an hour in the sun (hopefully give me more natural looking color and not burn.) However I've only succesfully outdoor tanned a handful of times, but I've never tried with a low spf tanning lotion. (can anyone recommend a good one?) BTW im young so I dont have an extended history to refer.
-oooooooooooooooor I could spray-tan but im scared as **** to do it. I'm afraid itll streak, or peel or most likely look ridiculous. (Which I see with so many girls walking around thinking they look good.) But it may be my last resort. Suffice to say I need color, and asap. Is there anyone here who can put my worries to rest about spray-tanning, and can show me how those are just myths. Or tips recommendations or anything. Prayers even.
Please help, thanks.

Lots of desciptive stuff there. Hm? Has your UV salon given you a Skin Type Analysis? Seems you may be genetically unable to achieve a UV/suntan. If this is the case, try a sunless service. But, these system rely on a solution made of SHA which is designed to create a tanned look thorough a chemcial reaction with you skin. Some people will develope an orange or yellowish colour as a result. But, there is only one way to find out. Good luck.

Di-hydroxy-ACETONE. Acetone, which takes the paint overspray off my bumpers.

DHA causes a chemical reaction that actually stains your skin a brown (or sometimes orange) color. It's the same active ingredient in sunless tanning lotions. It is not a paint and will not wash off, so to speak. It will, however, fade out as your skin sheds dead cells (aka, exfoliates).

There are two ways to approach this. You can either call around in your area and find a salon that offers airbrush tanning or a spray booth, or you can get yourself a bottle of sunless tanner and do it yourself. Sunless tanners come with color guides these days, so it's easier to avoid streaking. Loreal Sublime Bronze is a good sunless tanning lotion with cosmetic bronzers so that you can tell where you're putting it. But, spray is always going to be better because you don't have to worry as much about even application.

Check to see if you are using any skin care products containing MINERAL OIL! If you are you are likely creating a plastic like sheet of film on your body that prevents any tanning accelerators from penetrating your skin. Usually when we have a tanner that is not tanning we find this industrial by product to be the culprit.

Once you have eliminated Mineral Oil, get a quality Tyrosine based lotion so that your skin can MAKE Melanin. Have 3-4 sessions in a High UVB bed then have your 4th session in a high UVA bed. If you follow this regimen you can achieve a tan even if you are Irish or Red head. It may take a while for your body to crearte the Melanin to tan. Sometimes a week or two. But unless you have Tyrosine and a way for the Tyrosine to PENETRATE the skin you cannot tan. Remember Mineral Oil is Motor Oil. Plastic is made from Mineral Oil and it creates a barrier just like if you were to go to Wal-mart and purchase a quart of motor oil for your car and pour it on your skin. YES BABY OIL IS MINERAL OIL.

Sunless tanning is your next option. We have had great success with our sunless system. We sunless tan over one hundred clients each week many are weekly clients. If you have good salon nearby you should be able to find great results from your local artists. If you discuss these ideas with your salon and they are no help or do not know how to help you, find another educated salon.

Good Luck to you in your future tanning.

Here is the Fact shhe that we post about Mineral Oil to help educate our clients. Has really opened up their eyes about why this is not in ANY of OUR lotions.

----------------
Mineral Oil Fact Sheet

Mineral oil is a common ingredient in many household products. It is found in lotions, soaps, cosmetics and motor oil. Mineral oil is a clear, liquid oil with no scent and will not spoil. It is produced as a byproduct of the distillation of gasoline from crude oil. Mineral oil is the leftover liquid, and because it is abundant, it is very inexpensive. In fact, it is more expensive to dispose of mineral oil, than to purchase it.

Mineral oil is the main ingredient in many baby care items as well. Baby oil, Vaseline® (petroleum jelly), baby wash liquid soap, and baby lotions all contain mineral oil as a key ingredient. As mentioned above, manufacturers can buy it very inexpensively and it will not spoil.

The problem is that mineral oil is foreign to the human body and has many harmful effects, especially on infants.

¤ Mineral oil acts as a thin plastic layer on the skin.

¤ It is difficult to absorb and clogs the pores, which slows the skin’s ability to eliminate toxins. Remember, the skin is the body’s largest organ and plays an important role in maintaining overall health!

¤ Once the oil is absorbed, it is broken down by the liver and passes through the intestinal tract. And once the oil is present in the intestinal tract, it will absorb all of the fat-soluble vitamins found there. It is essentially stealing important vitamins from the body, which the body will not be able to replace. This can eventually lead to nutritional deficiencies.

¤ Studies have also shown forms of pneumonia caused by mineral oil decreasing lung function, known as lipoid pneumonia. Because of these dangers, the medical community has condemned the use of mineral oil taken orally or as an ingredient in medications.

Given these harmful effects, when caring for babies, it is best to use all natural products. Many caretakers know that babies love to put their hands in their mouths. This also means that whatever is on their hands is also going in their mouth, and into their bodies. It is best not to chance your baby’s health with mineral oil and petroleum-based products.

Please examine all your bath & beauty products to check for this poisonous oil refinery by-product. We recommend you properly dispose of any products found with this byproduct by placing them into your solid waste garbage. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you pour this down a toilet or sink! This poisons our Water supplies!
