My mail man just asked me if a spray tan would work on his wife who has, I think he said impentigo, skin discoloration, the big white spots that have no pigment. Would a spray even it out or no?

My advise would be, if you have a spray booth, let her try it for free. If it works, you'll have a very loyal customer. If it doesn't work, you'll have someone who will spread good word about you, & will tell people "you know ---- salon, they were so generous to try & help me"...it'll be worth the investment in her.

We have a couple of ladies and one gentleman that comes for the airbrush tan for this very reason, Vitaligo--lost of pigment.

They can't tan via UV indoors or out.

It works well for them. Using a handheld airbrush can be more customized for these customers. It doesn't completely even out the skintone, but it camoflages well.

I agree with Mitzi. I had one young man come in with the same condition. It really helped him to even out the tones of his skin. But you must keep in mind that everyone is different. What works for one may not work for another. I like the idea of letting them try it for free. I do airbrushing free hand and offer to try it on the particular area first for free. If they think it helps, they come back for full body, if not, neither of you have really lost anything.

I wouldnt do it for free, but would offer a refund if it did not work. Or I would spray an area for free to see if it worked first.

We'll be getting a mystic though, not airbrushing.
