I recently relamped my home unit (24 bulb ETS) with Dark Tan bulbs. I am seeing a big difference in my color. NICE! However, I have also just noted that thay are suppossedly made for 10 - 15 minute beds?
My max time with these new lamps is 12 minutes at the moment. Are these safe to use in a 20 min timer bed for the full time?

I have a home bed, too, though I am researching my options for a salon (we don't have a lot of options in this town). That is what got me to buy mine.

The bed I have has dual sun lamps in it (face and arms). The timer will go up to 30 mins which I thought was crazy to put on the bed in the first place. After knowledge from working in a salon in the past, I never allowed anyone to lay 30 minutes. I know people that did and I actually did before training. They didn't have dual sun bulbs back then or some of the other choices we have today. Technology has come along way, bulbs are more powerful, beds are so much more advanced, and tan"knowledgy" has improved. Why would a company put a 30 minute timer on today's beds in a world of 10 to 15 minute bulbs. All I can figure is the companys may think people won't replace their bulbs on schedule (not logging their minutes) and will need to lay 30 in order to achieve the results when bulbs have degraded.

I think bulbs should have an exposer schedule, not just beds. Maybe it is out there, and I just don't know. Still trying to study up on all the new stuff before I venture to deep into the salon world again.

Either way, brand new bulbs, of course, are going to be more powerful then what you just took out. I am sorry though, I do not know if you could actually tan the max time your bed allows with those bulbs. I am curious, though. When I relamp my home bed, I will be in the same predicament.

I did call the company for the bulbs because my cousin wanted to lay a full 30 minutes in my bed. The woman I spoke to said I wouldn't even let her lay an entire 15 the first time even if she is of dark complexion and has been tanning for a while. I'll tell you this...I explained it to my cousin, the genious tanned for 8 minutes her first session and then 15 mintues her second session. She couldn't come back and tan for a few days. From then on she listened to me. She's young though... :0) They always think they know more! :0)
