Ive been using tanning beds at 2 different places now for about the past month or so, I'm not sure how many times. And how, in the beginning, I was getting nice color all around, but now I just seem to be getting tan on my body (and that's not even so great anymore,) while my face remains pasty white. It's very strange and also troubling, and I was wondering if this could be resulting from over-use (of the tanning bed,) or from a slight burn I got, which was the first I've gotten in a very long time because I never usually burn, and it was from the sun. I only started tanning at salons last summer, and I don't remember a problem like this occuring. Thanks alot for any help or advice.

first make sure that your face is clean of everything! then use a facial accelerator.i do have a few clients that can NOT use facials..their face tans better without them.

Designer Skin has a couple of good face lotions, one with bronzer and one without. Also, make sure your face is clean...no foundation....even if it doesn't say it has an SPF, it probably isn't letting the UV through. Also, if you're using a night cream or face moisturizer , make sure it doesn't have mineral oil in it.

You need to get X-Appeal for faces (Californit Tan), and use it while tanning. Also, ALOT of moisterizers contain sunscreen in them- so make sure you check the labels.

You could try cleaning your face using Austalian Gold's 'Face Mate' everytime you tan. This facial cloth is perfect for tanners and will help you build a tan. The best facial lotion out right now is 'Vivid' by Fiji Blend.
If the tanning beds you've been laying in have high pressure facials, then you are getting no UVB, which is the rays you need to build a tan.
If all else fails, use a sunless tanner like 'The Big 'O' by Designer Skin, it is perfect and gives great color. Norvel also makes great sunless products.

I would check the products you are using at home. Go to the post "recently discovered...bad lotions.? There is a list of whitening agents and also Mineral Oil facts. I bet you are using one of the two or both in some product you are using on your face.
