You hear all the bad news on TV. All about how bad tanning is, and all the other Bowl s**t! They never tell anyone about the good stuff. But funny story, the doctors are know telling everyone to actually get some UV. They are partly responsible for the deaths of people that lack of Vit D. So now they tell us "O.K we change our mind tanning and UV, they are good" of course in moderation. I mean like hello, they should have told us all along. Before only the salon owners were telling us how UV can be good. And since they were the only ones saying that, all the viewers didn't belive it. The truth about tanning is slowly coming out, give it time.

As for the teen tanning, what is a safe age for teens to be tanning. We let 12 and up with parent signature. And I find people thinking outdoor vs. indoor. Should 12+ be tanning is it safe?

We are in a regulated state that requires parent's signature under 18 and the parent to be present while their child tans if under 16. I don't personally have a limit other than that. My feeling is that I would prefer they get a good base tan as protection before they go outside and get burned..that is always more harmful than a slow, progressive, protective base tan.

Good question ... I'd like to know that answer as well and who do you contact to get all your state regulations?
