Smoothies or drinks - tanTALK

Does anyone have a smoothie machine or sell soft drinks and water in there Tanning Salon. I was thinking about putting a smoothie machine in our salon when we open it up in 2 weeks.

We can sell canned drinks and bottled water in our salon. To sell smoothies or to have a fountain drink machine we need a special food pernit. You need to check with your city on that one.

Drinks do. Do not sell smoothies.

I wouldn't do smoothies....it would probably be more hassle than it's worth. Plus, it could slow things down...most people come to a tanning salon to tan....you could stand to tick some customers off if they have to wait to get into a bed while you make someone else's smoothie. We have energy drinks and bottled water for sale here, and both sell rather well. Do something you can reach into a cooler and grab...it's fast, efficient, and you want have another thing to clean at the end of the night!!

I'm just a newbie here, but as delicious as the smoothies sound (in fact a smoothie sounds really good right about now) I think they would require too much of your time. We are opening our tanning salon June 1st (yeeeeoooooowwwww! can't wait!)and we are selling bottled water and frozen fruit bars. Something simple and easy we can grab from the mini fridge behind the counter. Consider the fruit bars instead of the smoothies. On the water thought ... how much is everyone selling the bottled water for?

Valley, we sell ours for 92cents b/c it rounds up to an even 1.00 with tax.....

ok I'm showing my "Tantalk" age ... I'm so new at this I can not figure out how to post a new topic ... although I somehow managed to do it yesterday!LoL! could someone please teach this infant to walk!!!! HELP!

We sell smoothies,private label water,energy drinks and sodas. 8 different types of smoothies which take about 2 minutes to make, however; the equipment required is very expensive. The profit margin is great though. We have trained our customers to order from the intercom when they get out of the bed which allows us enough time to make it for them on their way out. Selling about 6-8 a day right now but on hot days more.
