All you are the reason we found this site. We have been looking for a home tanning bed for some time and been doing the online research. We think we are going for the:

SUNSTAR ETS ZX323F

or

SUNDASH R323P

Both seem a good deal on the used market and available. There are 40+ people on here now. If this is the wrong way to go or something else is better for us please say so now or forever feel guilty. (just kidding).

$$$ is not an issue. Just want a very, very, very, good home tanning bed that will match the local salons.

Thanks in advance!

Jason

This is a site for tanning salon owners....not a good idea to post you would like to buy a tanning bed for home use. It would be like us calling you up and asking if your girlfriend was a good kisser....because we were contemplating taking her out and she will not be going out with you anymore.....but what is your opinion of her "skills"

These units will tan you well providing you put the correct lamps in them. The only issue the the sunstar is an digital timer which are know to go out freaquently. Make you unplug you unit after you tan. Storms do wonders on those timers and they aren't cheap.

DWhite6872 05-20-2005 07:58 AM

They are looking for a bed...so they do not have to go to a salon. Why are we helping him?

Sarge 05-20-2005 08:14 AM

I look at it this way, if you own a salon, and a customer of yours is looking to purchase a tanning unit. I would try to find them on and sell it to them. Your going to loose them as a customer anyway, so try to sell them a bed and make some money on it and also keep them as a lotion customer. I know in this case, the individual is just looking for advice and I think its proper to give it to them. Maybe not but just my thoughts.

dcjjp2 05-20-2005 08:18 AM

They will just buy the bed and the lotions from the internet anyway, they will not have any loyalty to you, so skrew them! Sorry socialcouple.

Wildfire1073 05-20-2005 02:42 PM

Dcjjp2, that is not entirely true to form. I am looking to buy a home tanning bed as well; however, I will still frequent my local salon. I am sure I will tan there on occasion, and I will most definitely still buy lotion from them, as I do not trust buying lotion on the internet (you never know what you are getting). I also happen to like the people who own the salon I go to and will miss the chit chat. So, maybe the statement you made is true for the majority but not for everyone. Just my 2 cents worth.

Meow...............good point.

I have helped customers find beds to buy. I saw a girl today that still comes in for her lotion. Not only is she just coming in she followed me from another loction. Just wants to buy from the salon im at. If you want to buy a home unit your going to buy a home unit. Might as well answer the question and be helpful. You know im not an owner but i am about cutomer service. Further more the guy wont buy lotion on the internet - we should be singing his praises. Also you know how much i get for working on home unit. $50 service fee and $15 an hour after the first hour.

Sundash - if nothing else it will keep me out of your home. They dont break. Great beds.

thank you all... very much...

On the point of not helping us.. We can understand... think of it this way... we are both 35yrs and have paid our local place well over 20K for everthing in the last 15yrs. Now we have the space and the $$$ to put one in the home.. and have no idea how or what to get... you that are against helping are the same people we have been paying for years... We know you want to keep the biz but we are buying a home unit... You must realize at some point some of your clients might put one in the house.... after years of dedication to you wouldn't you want to help knowing we have been long term clients that now are going to go out on our own and have no help other than you?

So, as a favor, knowing now what we have posted. What should we do? And what really should we get for the home???

We were going to buy the other night but shipping on the used bed was $1,500. Know now they were getting the $$$ on the back end of the shipping.

To all of you. What is the best way to go putting this together like we have explained???

Thanks in advance!!!

Jason & Jenn
