Rep Power: 0 | Okay, i work at a tanning salon 5 days a week...usually i get off on the weekends...my weekends are to get away from everyday life, and go to my horse shows (i competetivly show horses)...well i went in today and the manager said that her grandpa just died..i said i was so sorry and listened to her every word and gave her a hug and stuff then she told me that i needed to come in on saturday, i was like crap...this is my horseshow weekend! she needs me cause the funeral is on saturday...i said i have to find out...and she seemed really offended, and then she said i know u do your little thing with the horses on the weekends but my grandpa just died, and if u dont come i will have to close up shop...she cant hire the other girls because they are literally retarted...I dont know what to do...this is a really important weekned...but i dont wanna say no to her cause i think she will be really mad....as a salon owners point of veiw what do you all think? _________________ [ This Message was edited by: BronzeBlonde on 2005-04-26 21:21 ] |

Rep Power: 0 | One day and one day only to celebrate the life of a man. Horse shows don't seem so important in comparison. However, I don't think you are saying the horse show is more important than her grandfather's funeral. You are probably comparing the value of doing the horse show with keeping the store open. To you, the horse show is more important. She probably thinks you are saying the horse show is more important than her grandfather's funeral. If you decide to do the horse show and the store has to close, she will learn to plan for a problem like this. By having one person to call to cover she is setting herself up for disaster. If you decide to do the horse show, make sure she knows that it is not because you think it is more important than her grandfather's funeral so she does not get offended (which is what you are worried about, right?) However, even if she is not offended, she will realize how much you don't (no offense) value the store and if she is smart she will hire an additional employee. She needs to find an employee who cares more about the store. |

Rep Power: 0 | Thank you all for applying...i will be going on saturday now..i realize that there are always more horse shows...but i do think it is VERY irresponsible for her just being able to rely on me and letting the retards off the hook all the time....one girl told her the day beofre that she could not come in all this week because of a school thing...and all i have to hear is my manager tramping about her...dude...then why dont u kc*fing fire her...and she will never hire anyone else, they have to be to her exact standerds...which i understand...i just dont think it is fair for me to have to pick up everyone elses slack yah know. |
