Hello Everyone:

Ever since I have started tanning (a month ago) I have gotten these darker lines on my upper lip. . .They are a darker brown (almost like a birth mark) I stopped using the enhancer on my face because I thought that was the problem. I feel it looks like i have a mustach (AAAAHHHHH!)

The thing is I have tanned many times before and nothing like this has ever happened. The BIGGEST dilemma is my wedding is coming up in June. I want to be tan, but I don't want these ugly lines on my upper lip!! DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE?????

Thanks for listening to my dilemma!

What the heck? Thats a first. Lets see, are you taking any photosensitizing medications maybe? What lotion are you using on your face? Are you tanning in a regualr bed or HP? What has your salon said about it? Kinda need more info.

I have taken darvastate (sorry i don't know how to spell it) twice since I have been tanning. . . I used dangerouly dark by Swedish beauty. . I believe it is a regular bed (i don't know what HP is?) The guy at the salon said it seems that my upper lip might be more sensitive and gave me lip block to put over it while i tan. . .I have only used it twice, but i am afraid that is not the problem. I know i think this is really weird too, but I am panicking!!!!

Calm down. =) First of all, check with your tanning salon to see if your meds are photosensitizing. I have my med chart at the salon, not here at home. Did you tell your salon you are taking meds? They should have asked that when you signed up. Second, purchase a lotion that is specifically facial lotion. We carry Cal Tan X Appeal for our tanners. You may also try Amazing Face by DS. Your salon is right to say put something on yoru lips while you tan. But, the way it sounds your problem is between your upper lip and nose? Make sure to tan with no makeup on too! Makeup is a hinderance to the tanning process. So, tan in a facial bed with facial lotion and it should even everything out before your wedding.

I can not tell you for certain how long it would take. First, I don't know how bad it is. Second, I am not sure what equipment you are tanning in. And third, I dont know your skin type of how you tan. Facial lotions range, ask your salon what they have.

X appeal is the best because it wont clog pores. I believe the retail value is $34. Amazing face I think costs $19.
