I want to add another unit in my salon. Where would my money be better spent? I'm torn between spending it on a sunless booth or a high pressure unit. There is currently neither of the two in my area, but a couple of beauty salons offer hand spraying.

If you have the power, I would go with HP first. Try finding a nice kept used machine. This way if it doesn't take off in your area, you are not out so much money and can at least offer session prices that your area will support.

Unless there is a HUGE need for sunless I would STAY AWAY. The HP tanner is gunna hold it's value so much better (figureing you keep them at 100%). What's your setup look like? That N Joy looks real cool but you maybe looking at a certain model.

I think I am heading for an 'Njoy. It is the only HP I can fit into the room and I only have 60 amps left to use anyway.

Power is not a problem. I have 600 amp 3 phase. I currently have 4 base beds, 4 middle level (40 lamp facial) 1 vhr and 1 super sonic suncapsule. I like the idea of buying a nice used hp because I don't know if my area can support hp. But, if I can buy it right, I can make it work with the right price point.

High pressure units use 3 phase, which are pretty expensive. A whole new box has to be put in for the 3 phase. I dont have high pressure yet, and that is why. Anyway, that is what I have been told about them. An electrician told me it could cost several thousand dollars.

nJoy is a single phase 50amp. Jim ITT or URI carries them. The new beginner HP machine around $16K I think.

The unit can be ordered as single phase, or your electrician can "bridge" the unit into single phase.
